Pippa Lugg is a visual artist specialising in painting, the subject which she majored in during her Art degree.

Although Pippa has shifted her focus again to her painting, the tie that binds all her work and artistic styles together is the strength of her drawing. All her oil paintings are conceptualised in the form of sketches. She draws on the canvas with charcoal and then paints.

She will have an open studio on the weekends during the Taranaki Arts Trail 2026  (30 October - 8 November). Pippa is also part of the Coastal Arts Trail (to arrange a visit to her art studio, please fill in the contact form).

Pippa sells her original oil paintings, limited edition prints of these paintings, drawings, watercolours and black & white scratchboard art. She also accepts commissions if you are wanting a unique, personalised piece of art.

 

Pippa was selected to exhibit in the last Puke Ariki Home Work Maunga Auaha: Taranaki Art 2024 Exhibition.

She will be exhibiting in a group exhibition at the Percy Thomson Gallery (4 September - 4 October 2026).

 

Pippa also teaches art classes for children and adults in her art studio, in Fitzroy, New Plymouth, New Zealand.
